FLAT STANLEY JR.

Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, everyday ten-year-old until the bulletin board on the wall above his bed comes loose and falls right on top of him. The next morning, Stanley wakes up flat. In a whirlwind musical travelogue, Stanley – the ultimate exchange student – scours the globe for a solution to his unusual problem. He's stamped, posted and cancelled from Hollywood and France to Honolulu and beyond, all in an effort to become a three-dimensional boy once more.

25th annual putnam
county spelling bee

An eclectic group of mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Many spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.

WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO SIGN YOUR CHILD UP FOR THE NON-AUDITION CLASS ON WEDNESDAY TO MAKE SURE THAT HE/SHE HAS A SPOT.   IF YOUR CHILD IS ACCEPTED INTO THE AUDITION CLASS, ALL TUITION FEES PAID WILL BE TRANSFERRED.

HAIR HIGH SCHOOL EDITION

We have been given an amazing opportunity to workshop (and present) the first high school version of the musical Hair!  This is a great chance to collaborate with ITheatrics as well as the composer of the musical, Galt McDermott, who lives in Houston, and will be helping to consult on the cut of the show.  HAIR celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. To an infectiously energetic rock beat, the show wows audiences with songs like “Aquarius,” “Good Morning, Starshine,” “Hair,” “I Got Life,” and “Let The Sun Shine.” Exploring ideas of identity, community, global responsibility and peace, HAIR remains relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world.
