Wildfish Theatre is thrilled to be returning to JTF West in 2026 and we are looking for strong performers in grades 3rd and up to participate!
WHAT IS JTF? The Junior Theater Festival is a spectacular annual national event that is all about bringing students together to celebrate the joy of musical theater in a BIG way, including competition, New Works Showcase and meeting Broadway stars!
JTF brings together student musical theater groups from all over the country for a weekend of performance, education, and fun! Each group performs a fifteen-minute adjudication piece from a Broadway Jr show for a panel of judges. Wildfish always makes a strong showing at JTF, and while we do not know yet if we will get to showcase a new musical, we want to make our adjudication piece as strong as possible. We won’t know which show we are performing until we select the group to attend JTF.
Rehearsals begin Sunday, January 4, 2026, and and we will rehearse 12-3 pm on all Sundays in January and February before the trip. In addition, there will also be rehearsals on MLK Day (1/19) and weekday evenings January 5-8 and January 12-15.
Please register online by September 8th if you are interested and available. Conflicts won't be allowed since we have a short rehearsal time. There are no auditions - we will select performers and an age group to bring to JTF based on registration interest.
